Advice

Something that Baruch College can work on is how students are able to promote their events- whether it be a professional, social or community service event. Right now many of these clubs and organizations have their own Facebook and Instagram account which is helpful in sharing the events but sometimes it doesn't reach a wider audience. These individuals would have to go to different graduating class pages in order to spread the word. However, many times these pages go unseen or many individuals do not check their Facebook groups. One way new media can be used that can help reach a broader audience is maybe make use of a central platform where everybody goes to so that more people are aware of events that are going on. Maybe a central blog page that all Baruch students are required to know about and can visit and have featured events of the week. This can give more exposure to these clubs and organizations in general. These blog pages can also link to their respective social media platforms as well. Many clubs and organizations try to follow as many Baruch students as they can but that takes time to find people to follow. Having a blog where people could hype up events and maybe review said events would allow for more interaction between these organizations and students - as there are comment sections on these blogs as well.
